YEREVAN. – The Czech Republic is not satisfied with the current level of economic cooperation with Armenia, said Czech Ambassador Petr Mikyska, at a press conference on Thursday.

In his words, however, they sense good trends in development in the past six months. As per the diplomat, this is probably connected with the positive dynamics in Armenia’s economy and Czech businesses’ interest in the country.

Ambassador Mikyska informed that the Czech Škoda company and the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation recently signed a contract with respect to modernization of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant.

He added that another Czech company will manufacture LED lamps, a Czech company is negotiating toward establishing a truck factory, and several other Czech companies are carrying out activities in renewable energy sources in Armenia.
