German N-TV channel dropped adverts targeted at attracting investments from Turkey amid the recent Germany-Turkey diplomatic row.

Germany stepped up pressure on Turkey after human rights activists were arrested by the government in Ankara, Reuters reported.

"Since Tuesday, the political backdrop has completely changed and our sales team has decided that showing the campaign no longer makes sense," the broadcaster said in a statement on its website.
