A cultural center named after the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople Mesrop Mutafyan has been opened in Vakifli, the only remaining Armenian village of Turkey.

Before the opening of the Church of the Virgin Mary, a liturgy was served, Agos daily reported.

The opening was attended by representatives of the Armenian community, the head of Hatay administration and a number of other Turkish officials.
