YEREVAN. – Our ultimate goal is to make Armenian wine an internationally recognizable brand.

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Thursday stated the aforesaid at the official opening of the International Wine Conference in capital city Yerevan.

“Today, Armenia is truly living a wine revival,” the PM noted, in particular, press office of the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. “Preserving our winemaking traditions, we combine them with modern-day advanced technologies and scientific potential. The domain has been recognized by the government of Armenia as a priority branch of the [country’s] economy.”

As per Karapetyan, today Armenia  has Argentinean, American, Swiss and Italian investments, and Diaspora Armenian partners make up a significant part of the investors.

“It’s also pleasing that we have a growth in domestic investors,” added the Premier. “Armenia is open to the involvement of large-scale investments in winemaking, viticulture, and [numerous] other domains.”
