Russia has suspended its diplomatic presence in Yemen. All Russian embassy staff left the country, RIA Novosti cited official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova.

According to her, Russia has suspended its diplomatic presence in Yemen due to the situation in the capital Sanaa. The Russian ambassador and some staff will work from Riyadh.

As reported earlier, Russian plane evacuated embassy staff and Russian citizens from Yemen.
