The European Union leaders are expected to extend sanctions against Russia for another six months.
The decision will be made during the EU leaders' meeting on Thursday in Brussels, Reuters reported.
The main sanctions, which target Russia’s energy, defense and financial sectors, would otherwise be due to expire at the end of January 2018.
