YEREVAN. – The role of civil society should be expanded in Armenia. 

Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, on Monday stated the aforementioned at a public discussion devoted to role of Armenia’s civil society in the formation of the state policy agenda and in ensuring accountable governance.

As per the head of the EU delegation, this should be done by way of social entrepreneurship development in Armenia. 

The European diplomat said they have achieved great success together with their partners, and that this is extremely important to them.

He added, however, that we should not be satisfied with the success already achieved. Ambassador Świtalski stressed that we need to work towards achieving more tangible success through cooperation, and noted that in order to resolve problems quickly, this cooperation should develop together with the Armenian government.
