YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan stated, at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government, that now, coordinated measures need to be taken to complete the second phase of the activities at the Meghri Free Economic Zone (FEZ), as soon as possible.

In this connection, he instructed several ministers and some other officials to take measures—within two months—to ensure the respective infrastructures. In addition, he instructed to continue informing as widely as possible—and through Armenia’s diplomatic missions abroad—about the advantages, opportunities, and favorable procedures at the Meghri FEZ.

As reported earlier, the opening ceremony of the Meghri FEZ—near the border with Iran—took place on December 15.
