YEREVAN. – The drivers of several public transport minibuses in Yerevan have gone on a strike.

The drivers of a number of public transport routes in Armenia’s capital city did not come to work on early Tuesday morning, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene.

They are protesting the recent increase in fuel prices in the country, and noting that their earnings have dropped as a result and they are unable to provide for their families.

A large number of police officers are overseeing the protest rally of these drivers.
