Varsik Sevoyan, 47, who was killed in Russian plane crash, was returning to Orsk from St. Petersburg. The woman was visiting her 24-year-old son in Krasnodar, and then flew to visit her 22-year-old daughter in St. Petersburg, MK reported.
“Our planes departed almost simultaneously. My plane to Krasnodar left the airport a little later than her flight to Orsk. I landed safely, but she did not. My father was to meet her in Orsk. But we found out about the tragedy from news,” her son Aram said.
As reported earlier, Varsenik Sevoyan was registered in Zolaqar village of Gegharkunik province, Armenia. Varsenik Sevoyan and her husband have lived in the Russian city of Orsk since 1997.
Russian passenger plane An 148 crashed in Moscow region on Sunday leaving Moscow's Domodedovo airport with 71 people on board.
Among possible causes of the crash may be a technical malfunction, in particular explosion of one of the engines.
