The deputies of Bavarian Landtag have appointed Markus Soeder a new prime minister of Bavaria, Bayerischer Rundfunk reported.

According to the source, Soeder, 51, became the youngest Bavarian prime minister in the history.

Markus Soeder replaced the CSU leader, Horst Seehofer, who became the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the new government.
