An Armenian citizen was killed in Leningrad Oblast (province) of Russia.

The tragedy occurred on August 18, in Rakhya urban locality, reported the Operativnoye Prikritiye news agency.

During a sudden argument, a 45-year-old local resident fired at the 29-year-old Armenian national with a hunting rifle.

The Armenian citizen died in the ambulance, en route to hospital.

The shooter was arrested.

The licensed weapon was confiscated.

A criminal case has been launched.
