Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono, who has arrived in Armenia on an official visit, on Monday paid a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in capital city Yerevan.

He was accompanied by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan, and Japanese Ambassador Jun Yamada.

The Japanese FM laid flowers to the monument to the genocide victims.
