As a result of the local government elections in Syria, Armenians Shahe Minassian and Maria Kaprielian have been elected members to the Aleppo Governorate Council.

Kantsasar, the official newspaper of the National Prelacy of Aleppo of the Armenian Apostolic Church, reported the aforesaid citing the results disseminated by the High Judicial Council of Elections.
