YEREVAN.- Snap parliamentary elections should be held as soon as possible. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan told journalists on sunday, adding that the elections can be held before the end of this year.

“Now we must discuss the timing of the early parliamentary elections and speed up this process. Communications with business representatives shows that investors are in a state of "waiting" and they need guarantees of long-term political stability. This is necessary for us, so that we can implement investment programs in the short term," the PM said.

Pashinyan hopes that as a result of discussion with political forces, Armenia will be able to come to a consensus. “I hope that the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan clarified the political situation in Armenia,” he added.
