Brandy production in Armenia in the first 8 months of 2018 dropped by 7.6% when compared to the same period in 2017, to 17. 035.8 million liters, the National Statistical Committee reported. It said also wine production decreased by 2.3% to 4.990.6 million liters, and vodka production fell by 68% to 2.169.4 million liters.

Champagne production grew to 318,900 liters from 305,000 liters in the first 8 months of 2017, and production of beer grew by 8.3% to 17.053 million liters.

Production of non-alcoholic beverages amounted to 70.983.3 million liters, which was by 16.8% more than in the first 8 months in 2017.

As for vodka, according to the data in Armenia in the first 8 months of 2018, over 2/3 of the resources of this drink in the local market were imported. And this, despite the many domestic vodka plants. The reason, of course, is in quality.
