A Guatemala citizen who arrived from Dubai was detained in Armenia for drug trafficking attempt, Armenian State Security Committee’s press service reported.

The employees of the Committee found four metal containers with a liquid substance weighing 3.5 kg which looked like cocaine when searching the bag of the woman at Zvartnots International Airport on September 30.

As it turned out, Hernandez Aguilar Odin Lisset brought drugs to Armenia from the Brazilian city of San Paolo to transfer it to an unknown man in one of the Yerevan hotels.

As a result of the operation, Kazakh citizen, Elena Koltisheva, was detained on October 3, as she arrived from Turkey to Armenia to receive and then to deliver drugs to Turkey.

The investigation is still underway.
