The increase of the cybersecurity is on the agenda of the upcoming European Union summit in Brussels, which is scheduled for the end of this week, DW reported referring to a high-ranking EU official.

The measures that should be taken to prevent interference in the elections to the European Parliament will be discussed, as well as the acts to tackle the powers that use cyber means to influence on the EU member states, the official told reporters adding that this means are used not only by Russia.

However, the reason to deal with the topic of EU cybersecurity at the highest level was the UK and Netherlands’ reports, accusing Russia of cyber attacks.
