In determining the boundaries of its exclusive economic zone (EEZ), Greece does not intend to take into account the theory of Turkey, which is a violator of international law.

The demarcation of the Greek EEZ as a whole will be determined on the basis of international law and, of course, without taking into account the unreasonable and arbitrary theories accepted by Turkey, which is violating an international law, the Greek Foreign Ministry said following the Turkish Minister of Defense’s statement.

According to the Greek MFA's statement, as for the issues of demilitarization, the well-known positions of Greece derive exclusively from international law and the UN Charter, RIA Novosti reported.

Greece urged the neighboring Turkey to be committed to the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
