A boy and a 50-year-old man have been shot in the Montreal suburb of Kirkland on Friday.

The suspected gunman, 36, was barricaded inside a nearby house when police arrived, CBS Canada reported. Later on police confirmed that he had been arrested.

The boy underwent a surgery, but both were in stable condition.
