YEREVAN.- A protest action was held in Yerevan on Friday against the Russian serviceman, killing the the Gyumri resident.

The protest was staged outside Russian Embassy in Armenia by members of the Republic party.

The secretary of the Yelk (Way Out) faction of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, Tehmina Vardanyan, taking  part in the protest action, said that we need to put an end to the Russian military base’s attacks on the citizens of Armenia

According to her, the protest rally is dedicated to the Armenian citizen Julieta Ghukasian, killed  by serviceman of the Russian military base in Gyumri.

“This is not the first time when military personnel of the Russian military base commits crimes against Armenian citizens. Each time these cases remain without an adequate response from the Russian embassy, ​​” Tehmina Vardanyan noted, recalling the tragic events of 2015 when seven members of the Armenian Avetisyan family were killed.
