A group of Senators from the Democratic and Republican parties have called on President Donald Trump to abandon the plan to withdraw US troops from Syria, The Associated Press reported.

Senators Lindsey Graham, Bob Menendez, and Jack Reed stated that they support more and more the resolution that calls on the president to change his strategy.

In Graham’s words, this decision by Trump has pleased the leaders of Russia, Iran, and ISIS. The senator added that he and his colleagues were concerned about the consequences of this decision.
