Speaking at the Turkish parliament floor, Garo Paylan, the Armenian member of this legislature, reflected on the recent snap parliamentary election in Armenia, and he congratulated Acting Prime Minister and his political team for the victory they achieved in this vote.

“I congratulate, from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Nikol Pashinyan and the Armenian people who conducted a democratic election,” Paylan noted. “Immediately after the elections, Mr. Pashinyan announced that they [Armenia] are ready to establish relations with Turkey, without preconditions. I hope that Turkey has responded, ‘I’m ready.’

“From here I call on the parliament speaker of Turkey and to the president of the country to give a constructive response to the [acting] prime minister of Armenia. I have faith that we [Turkey] don’t have unresolved issues with Armenia.”

And in conclusion, Garo Paylan added, “I wish success to Nikol Pashinyan and his friends,” in Armenian.
