YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador Armen Ghevondyan on Wednesday met with speaker Mikhail Myasnikovich of the Council of the Republic of Belarus.

They underscored parliamentary assistance to the development of Armenian-Belarusian interstate cooperation, as well as the active cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Speaker of the upper house in Belarus’ parliament noted his country’s interest in productive cooperation with Armenia in trade and economy, including by way of establishing joint investment enterprises.

Ambassador Ghevondyan, for his part, highlighted the recurring and regular meetings of the Armenian-Belarusian Interparliamentary Commission at the National Assembly of Armenia.

In the context of giving new impetus to bilateral relations, the interlocutors reflected on several other topics, too.
