YEREVAN. – The National Assembly of Armenia on Monday is continuing its sessions.

But it is a rare phenomenon that the parliament has not concluded the debates on the agenda matters within a week, and therefore it is obligated to continue the debates this week.

Election of the new Chairman of State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition is slated for Monday. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has nominated Gegham Gevorgyan to this post. At present, Gevorgyan serves as Acting Minister of Agriculture.

The debates on several other bills are also on the agenda of this four-day sitting of Armenia’s legislature.
