The Chinese prosecutor’s office has decided to detain the Interpol ex-head Meng Hongwei, South China Morning Post reported. 

“The disappeared former president of Interpol Meng Hongwei has been formally arrested in China on suspicion of accepting bribes, prosecutors announced on Wednesday,” the source noted.

The decision was made on the basis of suspicion of Meng Hongwei in bribery.
