French President Emmanuel Macron announced the need to change the Schengen Area, as it “doesn’t work anymore,” L!FE reported.

“It can be done so that there would be fewer countries in it,” he stated.

Macron believes that it is indispensable to remove from Schengen its member countries which refuse to participate in the settling in of migrants arriving in Europe.

Also, the French president criticized the Schengen Area countries which do not pay proper attention to the control of their borders.
