YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian visited 99-year-old Mikit Amiryan, veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

President Sarkissian congratulated Amiryan on the Victory Day and his birthday.

He thanked the veteran for the victory and expressed conviction that they will celebrate his 100th birthday next year. Mikit Amiryan said he started his military career in the Caucasus, fighter in Ukraine and Poland, participated in the liberation of Prague and Berlin.
