The AV-8B Harrier 2nd Air Squadron of the US Marine Corps crashed near the city of Havelock in North Carolina on Monday, USNI News reported.
According to Marine Corps, the pilot is being treated at a local hospital after safely ejecting from the plane.
The crash site is cordoned off by the military. The investigation has been launched as a result of an accident.
