On May 30, with 30 “in favor”and 2 abstention votes, the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University voted in favor of premature termination of the powers of rector Aram Simonyan.

One of the Board’s members nominated academician Gegham Gevorgyan as the acting rector of Yerevan State University., while another member nominated Doctor of Law Vahe Hovhannisyan.

The election will be held through an open vote.
