On August 5, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will attend the opening ceremony of 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games in Stepanakert, the capital city of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), and, also, he will have an important talk with the people of Artsakh. Pashinyan on Friday informed about this via Facebook livestream from Lake Sevan.

“A very important event will take place in Stepanakert on August 5: the opening of the Pan-Armenian Games,” the PM said. “Representatives of all Armenian segments will assemble in Stepanakert on that occasion. And I believe that this is a great opportunity to expand the day’s agenda a little bit, and to speak about our nationwide challenges, this unique hour of our nationwide unity and the opportunities it has created, [and] using those opportunities accurately and effectively. In this connection, I intend to speak at Renaissance Square of Stepanakert, on August 5, at 19։00 [7pm], and I kindly invite you all to be in attendance on that day.”

In Pashinyan’s words, a very important conversation will take place in Stepanakert.

“I invite, with a particular love, all our compatriots of Artsakh, because I haven’t had an opportunity to speak before them in such a format,” he added. “And on that day, I hope to have a very important conversation—looking straight into their eyes—on our nationwide agenda, our current situation, and tomorrow’s things to do.”

The Armenian PM noted that he will also touch upon certain matters related to the Armenia-Artsakh-Armenian diaspora agenda.

“Overall, our objective will be to make an important record of [Armenian] nationwide unity, and to draw conclusions stemming from this,” Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
