Public transport fares should be as low as possible under the new system, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, it takes two years to introduce a new transport system.

“I have already said that the community in the transport system should have an important role. Why? Because, as in the case of a sanitary institution, the community has no profit from all this,” he said. “Any private company needs a profit. In European countries, they work with 10% profitability.”
