YEREVAN. – The ARF Youth Union members, who announced a sit-in a week ago demanding the resignation of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, are today staging a protest outside the Armenian government building.

The regular session of the government is being held today.

Last week on this day, they held a protest rally under the slogan "Government Meeting without Arayik Harutyunyan," from where they marched to the ministries’ building and started a 24-hour sit-in.

These young people disagree with the policy of the Minister, describing it as antinational. It has been a week that they have been spending the weekday nights at their sit-in spot.

One week ago, students from the Yerevan State University Faculties of Armenian Philology and History, who boycotted classes, have joined their protest. They are protesting against the bill on Higher Education and Science. For the past three days, they have been holding protest marches on the streets of Yerevan, ending it at the aforesaid sit-in spot. They are still boycotting classes.
