On November 12, Armenian youth in Paris met Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan with a protest.

It has been a week since the members of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun youth union are holding a sit-in in Armenia demanding the minister's resignation.

According to the Prime Minister's decision, Harutyunyan had left for France to attend the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris.

Last week, the ARF youth in Armenia held a protest rally under the slogan "Government Meeting without Arayik Harutyunyan," from where they marched to the ministries’ building and started a 24-hour sit-in. These young people disagree with the policy of the Minister, describing it as antinational. It has been a week that they have been spending the weekday nights at their sit-in spot.

One week ago, students from the Yerevan State University Faculties of Armenian Philology and History, who boycotted classes, have joined their protest. They are protesting against the bill on Higher Education and Science. For the past three days, they have been holding protest marches on the streets of Yerevan, ending it at the aforesaid sit-in spot. They are still boycotting classes.
