The Armenian society is trying to find out what happened a year and a half ago: a revolution or the implementation of a script written in some foreign offices? Armenian parliament’s ex-MP Ruben Hakobyan wonders.

“The issue of Artsakh has come to a standstill,” he noted adding that the authorities introduced oppositional populism into the political dictionary.

According to him, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan's statements that the decision should satisfy three parties are made for Europeans.

Speaking about the situation in the judicial system, Ruben Hakobyan referred to making decisions to the taste of the authorities.

“And those who do not do this are considered to be ‘whining,’” he said. “There are political prisoners in the country: Narek Mutafyan, Sarkis Ohanjanyan. There is a political hostage - this is the second president of the republic. The whole system is held captive by Nikol Pashinyan.”

According to him, unfortunately, poison and intolerance is generated by the parliamentary commission to investigate the events of 2016. Ruben Hakobyan recalled that it was Pashinyan when he was an opposition figure who declared Russia's involvement in the April war.

Ruben Hakobyan urged the release of political hostages as soon as possible and suggested stopping the incitement of hatred and intolerance: this is beneficial to the opponent.
