When it is said saythat the budget of Yerevan increased by AMD 24 million in 2020, it should be noted that only the subventions provided by the Government have increased, this is by no means the achievement of the city authorities, member of Bright Armenia faction in the Council of Elders of Yerevan Ani Khachatryan told reporters on Monday.

“There is also a certain increase in the budget due to the increase in duties,” Khachatryan added.

A member of the same faction, Tekhmina Vardanyan, in her turn, noted that the budget of Yerevan in 2020 will be AMD 107 billion 120 million, which representatives of the ruling My Step consider unprecedented. But 70% of this amount is subventions provided by the state. 

According to her, the municipality counted about AMD 3 billion of its own income, which should become “superfluous".

And Khachatryan, in turn, noted that the unprecedented and unfulfilled part of the budget expenditures of 2019.

“There is an amount of AMD 7.8 billion, but the unfulfilled part is of an unprecedented size,” she noted.
