YEREVAN. – Hraparak newspaper of Armenia writes: There are two countries where no ambassadors were appointed after the death of the Armenian ambassadors there. One is Great Britain, after Arman Kirakossian, though he had not even managed to hand his credentials to the Queen, and Turkmenistan where our last ambassador, Garnik Badalyan, who was appointed in November 2018, died in June.

It should be noted that there is a great battle for the post of ambassador to Great Britain. Let us remember that Armen Sarkissian became the President of the Republic of Armenia from being Ambassador there. Earlier, Vahe Gabrielyan was appointed Director of the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

And with the news that has reached us, Armen Yeganian, Head of the MFA Policy Planning Department, who served as the Armenian Ambassador to Canada in 2011-17, then served as the Head of the MFA Protocol Service, is considered for the post of ambassador to Turkmenistan.
