Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today is visiting Spitak town of Armenia’s Lori Province to pay tribute at the monuments to the victims of the devastating 1988 earthquake.

Pashinyan is accompanied by Japanese scientist Takeo Kanade—a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, the author of the Origami World theory, and the creator of the concept of “virtual reality”—who has won this year’s Global IT Award, the Armenian state award for global contribution to humanity through IT; Suren Papikyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; and the governor of Lori.
