YEREVAN. – As a result of the amendments to the Tax Code, we expect only positive impact in the long run, otherwise we would not make those changes. Armenia’s Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan stated this during a meeting with journalists today.

"We understand that reducing the tax burden is an additional opportunity for the business to expand its capacity to create additional value and make investments," he said. “In the short term, there was a risk of adverse impact, and due to this, one of the principles behind these changes is that we have a balanced impact change. This means that there will be an increase in burden in indirect taxes and three types of taxes; we consider this to be normal.”
