Armenian National Security Service has revealed cases when commercial or other employees used their powers in the interests of others, as well as the preparation and use by a group of persons of knowingly forged official documents, NSS press service reported.

According to preliminary data, a resident from Shirak province, at the request of his brother, who lives in Belgium promised to purchase and provide documents containing false information about health and combat duty in Artsakh so that latter could obtain citizenship of this country.

A preliminary agreement was reached with the chair of the territorial branch of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, and later a document was issued confirming false information about the brother being on combat duty. He also turned to the head of one of the medical centers operating in Armenia and received a false certificate of his brother’s health.

A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the incident.
