The cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the defense sector is a key factor for strengthening the security of Russia and Armenia and maintaining peace and stability in the region. This is what Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said during a year-end press conference today.
According to him, the Russian 102nd Military Base continues to operate in Armenia, and actions have been taken to increase combat efficiency.
Kopirkin also recalled the plans to improve infrastructures at the Russian 102nd Military Base in Gyumri over the next couple of years and stated that the military-technical cooperation between Russia and Armenia grew successfully this year.
