A while ago, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the relatives of fixed-term serviceman Artur Ajamyan, who received a lethal firearm injury on December 2.

The relatives demand a fair and objective investigation. According to them, the Investigative Committee could have found out the circumstances behind Ajamyan’s death in a short period of time, but the preliminary investigation is still in progress.

According to Armenian News-NEWS.am, among the relatives were the deceased serviceman’s mother, paternal uncle, grandfather and Haiarpi Sargsyan, representative of Artur Ajamyan’s legal successor.

A while ago, Artur Ajamyan’s relatives had closed Tigran Mets Avenue in Yerevan and were demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Assistant to the Prime Minister Nairi Sargsyan had approached them and informed that Pashinyan had come out of his office to meet with them, but returned to his office after he found out that the relatives had closed a street.

As reported earlier, on December 2 at around 06:50 a.m. serviceman of the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Artur Ajamyan (born in 1998) received a lethal firearm injury, and serviceman Davit Melikbekyan was (born in 1999) was wounded in the maintenance station of one of the military units of the Defense Army stationed in the northeastern direction.

Preliminary investigation of the case is underway.
