Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan agrees that the salaries in the judiciary help create a situation where people quit, open law offices and earn more money.

“However, if we talk about raising the salaries of officials of the public administration system, this will cause uproar, and there is already uproar,” Pashinyan said during a question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament today.

“I have statistics according to which the government has allocated an additional AMD 71,000,000,000 to raise the salaries of servicemen and teachers, pensions, minimum wages, as well as the salaries of doctors and forest rangers and the specialists of other social groups throughout 2020, and we have envisaged AMD 1,000,000,000 to raise the salaries of state servants,” Pashinyan said.
