Several people have been conferred the honorary title of Merited Coach of the Republic of Armenia by the decree of President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.

By the decree, coach-teacher of the Yuri Vardanyan Weightlifting School of Gyumri Municipality Armen Mkrtchyan, coach-teacher of the Yerevan State Sports College of Olympic Reserve Garnik Aleksanyan, coach-teacher of the Gyumri Children’s Complex Weightlifting School Karen Karapetyan, freestyle wrestling coach-teacher of the Yerevan State Sports College of Olympic Reserve Arshak Hayrapetyan and coach-teacher of A. Azaryan Gymnastics School of Yerevan Karen Baghdasaryan have been conferred the honorary title of Merited Coach of the Republic of Armenia for their merit in the development of physical education and development of sport.
