Armenia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) today signed the Meghri Border Checkpoint Modernization loan and grant agreements (costing a total of EUR 21,146,263) for modernization and expansion of the border checkpoint at the Ministry of Finance of Armenia. The agreements were signed by Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan and Head of Office of the EBRD in Armenia Dmitry Gvindadze.

Within the scope of the overall project for modernization and expansion of the Meghri border checkpoint, more than half (EUR 10,520,000 and EUR 700,000) will be funded from grants that the European Union will provide to Armenia under the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI)
