Changes of elites have been taking place in Armenia since April-May 2018, including in the judiciary, and this fits in with the logic and meaning of any revolution. This is what Director of the Caucasus Institute, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters today.

He also stated that what is happening in Armenia today was predictable. “Today we’re seeing how the state apparatus is trying to apply different methods, including vetting and transitional justice and now a referendum. The change of elites in countries like Armenia takes place according to the same, soft scenario,” Iskandaryan said.
