YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily writes: There is a shortage of [face] masks in Armenia today, and the warehouses are empty. And why has such situation been created? And who is responsible? Recall that Armenia had joined the international campaign recently and had sent masks to our friendly country, China, as assistance [in the fight against the new coronavirus].
At the same time, there are rumors that there were people who bought a large batch of masks for cheap, but instead of selling [them] in Armenia or sending [them] to China, they exported [them] to other countries—Russia, for example—and sold them [there] at a higher price. And this situation has led to the fact that the relevant bodies [of Armenia] are now committed to addressing the issue of the shortage of masks [in the country] being observed day by day.
And the coronavirus already reached [neighboring] Georgia yesterday.
