A tornado hit the city of Nashville in the US state of Tennessee on Tuesday morning, leaving two people killed, Reuters reported.
Nearly 40 buildings have been destroyed. Local police have also reported damage to other buildings and injuries to residents.
There are gas pipeline failures and power outages as well. Local John C. Tune airpot, whose administration reported the destruction of several hangars, did not escape damage.
Twitter users living in Nashville have also reported a power outage. A little later, the media reported a second tornado in this area of the US.
