The death toll of two tornadoes that hit the US state of Tennessee has risen to 25, state governor William Lee said.
In Nashville, the state’s largest city, tornadoes caused massive damage to residents' homes and other buildings, BBC reported.
The disaster struck after midnight, so many people were asleep, and did not have time to take shelter.
One resident told the BBC that the scene in Nashville is "like a war zone."
US President Donald Trump has said he plans to visit the state.
