EU-funded Green Agriculture Initiative (EU-GAIA) project has launched in Armenia today.

Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, who heads the EU delegation to the country, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, and experts participated in the official launch of this project.

EU-GAIA aims to assist in sustainable development of agribusiness in the northern provinces of Armenia within 3 years.

The project budget is €11.7 million.

The pilot project will be implemented in Tavush, Lori, and Shirak Provinces.

EU-GAIA is co-funded and implemented by the Austrian Development Agency, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-Armenia.
